Truth to be told though, it was not that long ago when the company had brought over a Motorola smartphone into our market though. Some of you may recall that the second generation Razr 5G foldable phone was officially released in Malaysia back in February. Fast forward to earlier this month, Lenovo Malaysia has reignited Motorola Mobility’s engine by launching the Motorola e40 which is made for the entry-level market. Powered by a Unisoc T700 octa-core processor, the phone also carries a 6.53-inch HD+ 90Hz IPS display alongside 4GB of RAM and 64GB internal storage. The IP52-certified e40 also carries a 48MP main camera alongside a 2MP macro camera and 2MP depth sensor while selfies are handled by an 8MP punch-hole camera located on the centre top part of the phone’s screen. Completing the phone’s general specs is a 5000mAh battery that supports USB-C fast chargers with a power rating of up to 10W. On another hand, Lenovo Malaysia has also officially launched Motorola Edge 20 Pro for our market. Equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 and 6.7-inch Full HD+ 144Hz OLED display, this 5G phone also features 12GB RAM and 256GB internal storage. Said to carry the most powerful camera to date within the Motorola smartphone family, the Edge 20 Pro rear camera module offers a 108MP main camera, 8MP periscope-style telephoto camera with 5x optical zoom capability, and 16MP ultra-wide camera. The phone also comes with a 32MP punch-hole camera for selfies. A 4500mAh battery that supports the brand’s 30W TurboPower charger wraps up the general specs sheet for Edge 20 Pro which is also an IP52-certified phone just like the e40. Given their hardware, it goes without saying that there is a huge gap between their price tag though. Available through Lenovo Malaysia’s Lazada and Shopee stores, the e40 is currently priced at RM 599. However, the Edge 20 Pro will only be making its way into the market at a later time for RM2,499.
